A Role Model and Icon ~ Zaha Hadid

The Industry legend who paved a way for many aspiring females across the industry.

Yesterday, 31st October 2022, marked the birthday of an industry icon & role model for upcoming young women across the industry. Zaha Hadid (31st October 1950 - 31st March 2016) was a female Iraqi-British Architect. Her Architectural style was amazingly futuristic & was easily identified by curving facades, sharp angles, and mixed materials. She took the strongest materials in the world and manipulated them to form objects that appear soft and sturdy at the same time.

She was also the first woman to be awarded the Pritzker Architecture Prize in 2004!

One thing we love about Zaha Hadid Architects is that they create internal and external experiences for people, not just normal bridges, buildings or other infrastructure projects.

Their projects are eye-catching and always have a unique shape, style and quality to them that makes them iconic!

We want to show aspiring young women who want to enter different career area roles in the industry the type of project’s they can work on! Here are 10 of our favourite projects designed by Zaha Hadid Architects. Huge congratulations and well done to everyone who has worked on these projects also:
